The Great Dr. Maya Angelou said, “When you get....give and when you learn...teach.” I have adopted this philosophy, especially as it pertains to the craft and education of the vocal arts and our future generations of great artists. Over the last several years I have dedicated a large portion of my time and expertise into giving masterclasses at schools and universities, as well as private coaching to up-and-coming singers. In addition, I have tried to fill in the gaps where some institutions fall short in the “business” aspect of the arts, as well as the teaching and programming of works by African American composers and Negro Spirituals. If you, your students or your school want to delve deeper, you can join this list of wonderful institutions where I have already shared my experiences.
