Crossover Records is excited to announce the release of our debut Broadway album with the incredible Kenneth Overton, A Bright Tomorrow., This project parks a return to his musical theatre roots and features some of his favorites from the Black Broadway cannon. Featuring Tony Award Nominee, Phillip Boykin and star of Broadway’s Paradise Square, Aisha Jackson.
The Harlem Chamber Players perform music by Adolphus Hailstork. Kenneth is the featured soloist on "Nobody Know" – a concert aria based on text by Herbert Martin. It was commissioned by The Harlem Chamber Players to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the importation of the first black slaves to America.
Released in April of 2022, Angela Rice's Thy Will Be Done, An Easter Oratorio is a beautiful work for choir, soloists and orchestra produced by Dr. Everett McCorvey, director of the University of Kentucky Opera Theatre and National Chorale.
